About

Souparna Biswas is a Guitarist, Music Producer, Composer & an Educator. Coming from a humble, lower-middle-class background, he was never the academic standout, often considered a misfit by societal standards. But what he lacked in conventional achievements, he made up for with an unshakeable passion for music and a relentless drive to pursue it.

He picked up the guitar at the age of 16 — considered late by many — but wasted no time catching up. With just seven months of formal training, Souparna taught himself everything else, spending countless hours mastering the instrument. Armed with only his first acoustic guitar, he began teaching local students. His dedication quickly gained attention from music schools and institutions, leading him to a full-fledged teaching career at just 19. He was soon hired by organizations like Furtados School of Music and taught music in institutions such as Byju’s, WhiteHat Jr., and more.

Over the years, Souparna has taught thousands of students across the globe (both online and offline), including CEOs of Tech Companies like Vikram Chalana (Pictory.AI), Keval Bhanushali (One Finance), and more. His teaching experience spans some of the biggest educational platforms, including Furtados School of Music, Byju’s, WhiteHat Jr., Artium Academy (current), and more.

As his journey unfolded, Souparna began creating his own originals (instrumental music), pouring his soul into compositions. In 2024, he released his debut EP, Starlight, which he wrote, produced, mixed, and mastered entirely by himself — earning appreciation from both peers and listeners.

In 2022, he launched Musicstaan — a podcast where he’s hosted iconic music producers, artists, entrepreneurs, and visionaries from around the world. The guest list includes legends like Joey Sturgis to musicians like Warren Mendonsa, Shalini Mohan, Shubh Saran, Annette Philip, Kamakshi Khanna, and bands like Indus Creed, Bhayanak Maut, What Escapes Me to name a few.

He has also served as a Global Shaper for the World Economic Forum (Kolkata Hub), showcasing his broader commitment to creativity, leadership, and social change.

With over a decade of experience as a guitarist and eight years as a teacher, Souparna continues to break barriers, inspire through music. He continues to evolve not just as an educator and performer but as a visionary artist. With a growing focus on composing for films, advertisements, and jingles.

His journey is proof that you don’t need to fit the mold to make an impact — you just need to be fearless enough to follow your calling.
